  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes optional
For the Bread
  • 1 loaf Italian bread fresh
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
For Garnish
  • to taste fresh parsley chopped

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Step 2: In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, dried oregano, dried basil, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using). Mix until well combined.
  3. Step 3: Slice the Italian bread in half lengthwise.
  4. Step 4: Spread the garlic herb butter mixture evenly on both halves of the bread.
  5. Step 5: Layer the sliced pepperoni generously over the buttered bread halves.
  6. Step 6: Top with shredded mozzarella cheese, spreading it evenly.
  7. Step 7: Place the prepared bread halves on a baking sheet and bake for about 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
