- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Step 2: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, combine the sourdough discard, all-purpose flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt. Mix until evenly distributed.
- Step 4: Pour in the melted butter and mix until the dough starts to come together.
- Step 5: Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently for 2-3 minutes.
- Step 6: Divide the dough into equal pieces and shape each into a knot.
- Step 7: Place the knots on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
- Step 8: Brush each knot with melted butter and sprinkle with parsley and Parmesan if using.
- Step 9: Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Step 10: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Store leftover garlic knots in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days. For longer storage, freeze them in a freezer-safe bag for up to three months.
