Ingredients

For the Chicken
  • 8 pieces chicken drumsticks
  • 2 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil plus more for drizzling
  • 1 lb baby potatoes halved
For garnish
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Equipment

  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Sheet pan
  • Measuring spoons
  • Cutting Board
  • Knife
  • Tongs
  • Oven mitts
  • Serving Platter

Method

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and olive oil. Mix well to create a flavorful marinade.
  3. Step 3: Add the chicken drumsticks to the bowl and coat them evenly with the marinade. Allow them to marinate for at least 15-30 minutes if you have time, or proceed right away.
  4. Step 4: Prepare the baby potatoes by arranging them on a separate sheet pan, drizzling with olive oil, and seasoning with salt and pepper.
  5. Step 5: Once the chicken is marinated, place the chicken drumsticks on the same sheet pan as the potatoes, ensuring they are spaced out evenly.
  6. Step 6: Roast in the oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the potatoes are tender and golden brown.
  7. Step 7: Once cooked, remove the sheet pan from the oven and optionally garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra crispy skin, broil the chicken for the last 2-3 minutes of cooking. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
