Method
- Step 1: Preheat your Traeger grill to 225°F (107°C).
- Step 2: Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and pat them dry with paper towels.
- Step 3: Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil over the ribs, spreading it evenly.
- Step 4: In a mixing bowl, combine kosher salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and brown sugar.
- Step 5: Generously apply the spice mixture to both sides of the ribs.
- Step 6: Place the ribs on the grill grates, bone-side down.
- Step 7: Close the grill lid and smoke the ribs for 4-5 hours, until the meat is tender.
- Step 8: If desired, brush 1 cup of barbecue sauce on the ribs during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
- Step 9: Once done, remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 10 minutes.
- Step 10: Slice the ribs between the bones and serve.
Notes
For an extra burst of flavor, consider experimenting with different wood chips in your Traeger, like hickory or apple.
