- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine mashed potatoes, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, and melted butter. Stir until well combined.
- Step 3: Fold in crumbled bacon and chopped green onions. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Step 4: Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and spread the potato mixture evenly in the dish.
- Step 5: Sprinkle mini marshmallows and chocolate chips over the top. Add chopped pecans if using.
- Step 6: Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
- Step 7: Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
This casserole can be prepared a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator. You can also freeze it before baking.
